Addio a Codarco, il campione della statunitense Chloe Reid

E’ venuto recentemente a mancare Codarco, il cavallo da Gran Premio della statunitense Chloe Reid.

Questo 11-enne figlio di Darco era insieme alla giovane amazzone sin dal 2015.

Ad annunciarlo è la stessa Chloe Reid con un post sul suo profilo Instagram.

“Caro Cody, il giorno in cui sono salita su di te per la prima volta è stato il peggiore della mia vita. Ero così incredibilmente nervosa e intimidita dalla tua potenza che non riuscivo a trovare nemmeno una distanza. Non dimenticherò mai il modo in cui nonostante le difficoltà mi hai sempre portata dall’altra parte sana e salva. Avresti potuto avere qualsiasi cavaliere, invece avevi scelto me. Grazie per essere stato il mio compagno di vita. Stai lasciando tante persone e una piccola ragazza che non ti dimenticherà mai.”

Insieme, Reid e Codarco avevano ottenuto numerosi piazzamenti importanti, tra cui spiccano: la 7^ posizione nella tappa di FEI World Cup di Helsinki e la 3^ nel GP dello CSIO5* di Falsterbo oltre che innumerevoli altri eccezionali risultati.

Dear Cody, The day I first sat on you was the worst trial I have ever had. I was so incredibly nervous and intimidated by your power that I couldn’t find a distance. I will never forget how we trotted into the combination and crashed out through the oxer, yet you continued to keep jumping and safely carry me around. While I’ve had numerous riders tell me over the years that they tried and passed on the opportunity to purchase you, I will feel forever fortunate that you choose me to be your rider. Even though you could have had way more success with any of the more experienced riders, I was the lucky one who got to take you home. Thank you for being my partner of a lifetime. You are leaving so many people heartbroken and one little girl who will never forget you. Rest easy my fluffy minion 01.01.2007 – 02.06.2018 Please respect his honor and my team to gather all the answers of why we lost him so soon.
